The Lublin region focuses on increasing innovation and strengthening research and development activities.

The number of innovative enterprises and expenditure on innovative activities are increasing every year, which is fostered by the active activity of scientific and research units.

The ability to create innovation is one of the key factors proving the competitiveness of the region, increasing its productivity. Innovative solutions can be applied in the area of ​​technical, organizational, economic and social progress. Science, technology and industrial parks operating in the Lubelskie Voivodeship play an extremely important role in creating the conditions necessary for the emergence of innovation. They are created to promote the regional economy, support entrepreneurship and innovation. They provide technical infrastructure and consulting services in the creation and development of enterprises, technology transfer and commercialization of scientific research results. They are a platform for cooperation between the world of science and business.

In the Lubelskie Voivodeship there are:

♦ Lublin Science and Technology Park

The main goal of the Lublin Science and Technology Park is to support the development of the Lublin Province by creating an institutionalized platform for cooperation between Lublin universities and business.

♦ Puławy Science and Technology Park

The establishment of the Science and Technology Park enables better use of the potential of the Puławy region. The park cooperates with the leader of the Polish fertilizer and chemical industry - Zakłady Azotowe Puławy S.A. The Park's offer includes, among others Technological Center and Incubator (laboratory, office and production complex). In addition, the foundation operating at the Park offers advisory, information, training and financial assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises and people running a business.
