Vocational education
Lubelskie focuses on vocational education. The progressive modernization of the vocational education system, as part of which it was possible to modify the classification of professions, and thanks to this, close cooperation of Lublin schools with employers was initiated, at the same time trying to improve the quality of education and better adapt to the needs of the labor market.
There are over 100 vocational and technical schools in the region, educating over seven thousand students. Thanks to the European Funds, vocational schools can count on co-financing new workshops for students, additional hours of classes or the possibility of organizing internships / apprenticeships for students at selected employers. In several schools, there are industry classes tailored to staff expectations and created in cooperation with enterprises. There are over 800,000 people on the Lublin regional labor market.
The largest number of students are educated in the occupations of smart specializations and in sectors important for the local labor market. Within each area, narrower groups of occupations were distinguished. At this level, we can see the dominance of supporting specialization - IT and automation (27%) and basic services for the population, which cover a very wide group of occupations (25%), followed by education in occupations related to tourism (20%) and construction ( 10%).
